One of a kind contempory mobile
The Sprout series was created after a journey to the Brisbane Ranges
National Park, Victoria Australia, which was burnt out after the summer
fires of 2006. Walking through the park I was inspired by the
prolific re-growth, the contrast of dancing luminescent leaves
against the blackened trunks.
Sprout picks up the forms, colours and movement of the reborn
trees in the burnt out landscape.

Size: 400mm x 600mm long, or 16 inches x 24 inches long. The mobiles stainless steel frame is suspended from an adjustable length of fishing line.
This mobile has three strands with numerous circular shapes suspended on stainless steel wire. The shapes are made of polypropylene in luminous colours of tangerine, translucent orange, pink, translucent pink, translucent cherry contrasted with black. The colours add great texture to any room.
The mobile could be hung anywhere, in an office, waiting rooms, bedrooms, nursery, living room, it looks great suspended under a light or near a window.
Each mobile is unique. I make each strand adding the shapes, balance them, then suspend the strands from stainless steel wires, then rebalance ensuring the whole mobile moves with minimal air current. I try to make the mobile so that the shapes are what stand out, and the structure becomes invisible. The mobile is pre-assembled so all you need to do is choose a location for hanging it.
Sprout mobile comes carefully packaged in a polypropyline box ready for travelling.
